Meet the team
Sarah has practiced law for over 14 years. She spent the first 7 years in civil litigation and the last 7+ years working for a Fortune 100 company in its retirement division. A large part of her work involved supporting customers and their retirement assets, reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney (POAs), guardianship documents, and trusts, and handling beneficiary disputes. She also helped her company establish and support its elder client care team focused on protecting its customers and their assets through retirement.
Upon graduation from law school, Pat became a member of the State Bar of Texas and began his legal career as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Lubbock County, Texas. He later opened a law office in Lubbock, Texas where he conducted a general practice. In 1977, he received an appointment as an Assistant Attorney General and later as Acting Attorney General for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands on the Island of Saipan, where he represented the executive branch of government advising the governor on legal affairs, overseeing criminal prosecution, the Department of Public Safety and the Department of Immigration.
Cathy began her journey as a paralegal over 25 years ago. With a passion for the law, and a desire to help people, Cathy brought her experience and knowledge to several law firms in Dallas, Austin and Houston, specializing in litigation and family law. In 2011, Cathy joined the Hubbard and Rotthier, Attorneys at Law and began focusing more on probate law and estate planning. Cathy’s continuing passion and desire at Hubbard and Rotthier keep her busy doing what she loves most… helping people. Never one to sit idle, outside of her work for Hubbard and Rotthier, Cathy acquired her real estate license.
